Tara Young is an experienced museum professional, writer and content developer, and faculty member in the Tufts University Museum Studies program, where she teaches the graduate course Museum Education for K–12 Audiences. Currently an independent consultant, she has held leadership positions at several museums on both coasts. Most recently, she served on the founding staff of the Museum of Russian Icons, in Clinton, Massachusetts. Tara has degrees in the history of art and architecture from Harvard College (BA) and the University of Pittsburgh (MA), and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts. She is the author of So You Want to Work In a Museum? (Rowman & Littlefield and the American Alliance of Museums, 2019) and the editor of Creating Meaningful Museum Experiences for K-12 Audiences (R&L and AAM, 2021). Tara lives in Central Massachusetts.
