I have completed Spartans in Dialogue which is a 5-week interactive dialogue experience designed to build relationships across differences and explore topics related to racial identity, race relations, and intersectionality. As a participant, I learned more about myself and how to understand others who are different while practicing dialogue skills to communicate effectively about difficult topics. This training also served as a way to enhance my communication, teamwork, and diversity skills.
I have more than three years of experience serving as an administrative assistant. This experience has fostered growth in my secretarial, bookkeeping, and administrative skills. I have received extensive leadership training on how to foster good relationships within an organization and what being a good leader entails. I have learned how to lead but also how to follow. I demonstrated these leadership skills as a Cohort Captian for the UNCG Guarantee Scholarship. I also have three years of experience in archival research. I have done extensive research in the history of artists such as Simone Leigh, Yinka Shonibare MBE, Tarsila do Amaral, Abdias Nascimento, and Aida Muluneh. I presented my extensive research on the artist Aida Muluneh at the Conference on African American and African Diaspora Culture and Engagement (CACE).
I have found that nothing satisfies me more than meeting new people, developing new relationships, solving problems, and contributing to the overall growth of a business.
